Necessity Of Hearing The Gospel

The Bible is clear that "faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God."  Paul came back to Ephesus and there were still disciples of John that were in need of hearing the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ so that they might be saved.  They were still before the cross of Christ and the Spirit had indwelt them nor were they part of the Body of Christ.  We are reminded in this passage that not all who hear the Gospel will be saved and often become hostile toward it.
