Spiritual Opposition To The Gospel

Series: ACTS Topic: The Gospel Scripture: Acts 13:1-13

When the Gospel was to go forth to the uttermost parts of the world, it is apparent that Satan wasn't going to allow it to happen without some opposition.  The Holy Spirit sent out Paul and Barnabas to continue the spreading out of the Gospel and they went to the city of Paphos in Cyprus.  The governor of this pagan city was very interested in the Gospel, but Satan used a Jew involved in the occult to try to block the Gospel from being given.  Paul countered in the strength and the power of the Spirit and the result was that Elymas the sorcerer was stricken blind and the governor believed in the truth of Jesus Christ.
