Instead of writing a biography, we’ve chosen to offer you the transcript of a short interview as a way to get to know him. To contact him, please visit our Contact Us page.

Webmaster:

Pastor, tell us when you were saved. Who led you to Christ?

Pastor:

God in His good grace saved me as an eight year old boy. I was regularly evangelized by my local church and my mother. After an evangelistic message a deacon sat down with me and settled with me the joy of salvation in Jesus Christ.

Webmaster:

You grew up in Northeast Ohio, is it safe to assume your favorite sports teams are the Browns and Buckeyes?

Pastor:

I confess that I do enjoy sports. I have rooted for the Buckeyes and Cleveland’s pro teams since I was a little boy.

Webmaster:

You say that being a pastor has the highest highs and the lowest lows…why don’t you share with us one of the highest highs?

Pastor:

An example of this exhilaration is when God works so remarkably in the life of an individual and the result is the person is so radically changed. With delight we can only utter, “it must have been the Lord.”

Webmaster:

What bible verse do you turn to when you find yourself in despair?

Pastor:

I have committed that by God’s grace I will not despair. Paul reminds us that we will likely suffer as Christians and says, “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed, we are perplexed but not in despair…”

Webmaster:

That’s great! 🙂 But for a reader struggling with despair, Psalm 42:11 comes to mind for meditation.
And finally, what is one thing you’d like to tell someone who this may be their first time looking for a church, or maybe they haven’t even made a commitment to Christ?

Pastor:

We are committed to God’s word at Berean. So, we want to engage people in love by using the absolute truth of the Bible. We use it in every facet of our ministry and all of our programs, including the children’s ministries. We want to tell people that are seeking a church or are looking for answers to life and eternity that we passionately point to Jesus Christ and the Word of God.
