Church Covenant

We the members of this fellowship, have been led by the Spirit of God to receive Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior and on our profession of that faith, have been baptized in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We accept the Word of God as our rule for faith and practice and do now, in the presence of God, enter into this covenant with each other.

We pledge by the aid of the Holy Spirit to walk together in Christian love; to strive for the advancement of this church in knowledge, holiness and comfort in time of distress; to promote its prosperity and spirituality; to be faithful in attendance, discipline, doctrines, ordinances, and worship; to contribute cheerfully and regularly to support the ministry of the church. We commit ourselves to Jesus Christ and recognize the pastor as the leader of the church.

We pledge to refrain from using our bodies in any way that might grieve the Holy Spirit. We believe we belong to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, and that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit.

We pledge to watch over one another in brotherly love; to remember each other in prayer; to aid each other in sickness, distress and material need; to demonstrate Christian kindness in words and actions; to be slow to take offense, and to always strive to restore fellowship through the humble reconciliation following Biblical guidelines.

We pledge that when we move from this place, we will, as soon as possible, unite with some other church where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God’s Word.
